Infrared Sauna

If you are looking for a way to burn calories, detox and relax, look no further! Infrared saunas are a type of sauna that uses heat and light to help relax and detoxify the body. The radiant heat from the far infrared penetrates joints, muscles, and muscle tissues, speeds up oxygen flow and increases circulation. The Infrared sauna also helps to purify our cells inside our fat where our body stores waste and harmful toxins, such as cholesterol and heavy metals.

They are also called far-infrared saunas or near-infrared saunas, and omit infrared light waves that create heat in the body, causing you to sweat and release stored “toxins.” An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you – It’s like absorbing the sun’s rays without the harmful UV rays. The infrared waves penetrate the skin, which activates the sweat glands. When the waves are applied to the water molecules that make up 70 percent of our body, the molecules start to vibrate which breaks them down and allows toxic materials to be released.

Anti-aging effects, increased detoxification, pain reduction, joint and muscle support, and cardiovascular healing are currently where infrared saunas are gaining the most attention. They’re also believed to have a parasympathetic healing effect, which means they help the body handle stress better.

No adverse effects have been reported with infrared saunas and even those who can’t normally tolerate other types of saunas or heat treatments usually find them comfortable. However, if you have high blood pressure or heart related issues, please consult with your physician first before scheduling.
